Aurobindo Pharma Foundation distributes cycles to girl students

Aurobindo Pharma Foundation Rs. 38 lakhs providing 750 free bicycles for girl students in Kakinada SEZ area. Andhra Pradesh Minister for Roads & Buildings Dahisetty Raja formally launched the two-wheeler distribution program at a public meeting held in Thallapantipet of Thondangi Mandal on Tuesday.

400 bicycles were given to girl students studying in government schools in Thondangi mandal and various equipment worth Rs.15 lakh was given to 28 Anganwadi centers.

On this occasion, Daissetty Raja said that with Aurobindo's social programs in the field of education, Thondangi Mandal will soon be number one in the construction of school infrastructure in the state. Their other activities in the area would usher in a golden age for the people living in the area.

He congratulated the Directors K. Nithyananda Reddy and Shri P. Sarath Chandra Reddy for their exemplary contribution to the local communities through the services of Aurobindo Pharma Foundation.

Tuni Market Committee Chairman Koya Muralikrishna said that any change for good may face some difficulties in the beginning, but ultimately the people will experience the benefits. He supported the establishment of industries in the region and as per government policy. In Andhra Pradesh, there is up to 60% reservation in employment for locals, so our people will benefit with upcoming industries in the region.

On this occasion, Aurobindo Group Senior Vice President Ramakrishna said that many industries will come up in this region with Aurobindo's initiative.

APF is working to provide necessary infrastructure in the areas of education, health and empowerment in the areas around Kakinada SEZ. Recently, Hare Krishna Movement in association with Charitable Trust, laid the foundation stone for the construction of an Integrated Kitchen, through which, around 5000 government school students in the area are served free nutritious breakfast every day.

Kakinada District ICDS Project Director Mrs. Praveen, Thondangi MDO, MRO, MEO, Mr. Arun Kumar MPP, Sarpanches, Vice ZP Chairman, Heads of Government Schools, Village Heads and staff of Kakinada SEZ and Aurobindo Pharma Foundation participated in the programme.
