Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a review of the Medical and Health Department on Wednesday. On this occasion, CM Jagan ordered the officials to increase the list of treatments provided through the Arogyashri scheme and asked them to take steps to include the increased treatments in Arogyashri from August 1.

He clarified that the list of treatments to be increased will be finalized soon and the concept of family doctor will be available from August 15. The CM suggested that there should be digital video connectivity for village hospitals and PHCs.

It is known that the government is providing 2446 treatments free of charge through Arogyasree. Under Arogyasree, the money is directly deposited into the patient's virtual bank account and the hospital is paid from there. A consent form is first issued from the admitted patient and a certificate is issued after completion of the treatment.

On the other hand, CM Jagan also reviewed the Covid situation in the state in view of the increasing number of Corona cases in the country. To this extent, the officials disclosed that the situation of corona in the state is completely under control.

Officials have made it clear that even though the cases of Covid are being reported here and there, the number of people admitted to the hospital is very low and there are only 69 people who are recovering in the hospitals. The officials explained to the CM that they have already taken precautionary measures for 87.15 percent of the people.

CM Jagan ordered to speed up the vaccination process, especially for people above 60 years of age, as the precautionary dose period has been reduced.

Officials said that 99.69 percent of those in the age group of 15 to 17 years and 98.93 percent of those in the age group of 12-14 years have completed the second dose.
