Amaravati temple Maha Samprokshanam commences today

Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on Wednesday conducted a traditional temple cleansing program at the newly constructed Sri Venkateswara Temple in Amravati Venkatapalam.

The ritual took place between 2pm and 4pm. In temple terminology, koil means temple, Alwar devotee and cleansing of the body with spices. So in a special event his devotee cleans the temple.

A mixture of ‘Parimalam’ made from vermilion, turmeric, sandalwood, turmeric and other spices is applied to the sanctum sanctorum, ceilings, walls and pillars of the temple.

This mixture also acts as a disinfectant. Earlier, Punyahavachanam, Ratnadhivasam, Vimana Gopura Kalasa Sthapana and Ratnanyasam were observed between 8am and 11:30am.In the evening, Mahashanti Abhishekam, Pranayanam, Kumbharadhana, Sayanadhivasam, Sarva Devatarchana and Visesha Homams were performed at the Yagashala.

SRM University-AP is participating in the Thirumala Srivari services as part of the inauguration of the SV Temple in Amravati. Accommodation was arranged for 400 TTD employees from Tirupati on the University campus.

AC buses were set up to take TTD employees from the university campus to the temple. Meeting with TTD EVO AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Veerabrahman, CV&SO Nandakishore Pro-VC Professor D Narayana Rao. At the request of TTD, SRM University is arranging lunch for 3,000 devotees on Thursday.
