All England Open 2025: Lakshya Sen, Malvika Bansod Enter Second Round; HS Prannoy, Tanisha-Ashwini Bow Out

Lakshya Sen and Malvika Bansod progressed to the second round of the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships 2025 following hard-fought wins in their respective singles matches in Birmingham on Tuesday.

          Lakshya, ranked 15th in the world, came from behind to defeat Chinese Taipei's world No. 37, SU Li Yang, with a scoreline of 13-21, 21-17, 21-15 in the men's singles opening round match that lasted an hour and 15 minutes on court 2 at the Utilita Arena Birmingham.
