Alcohol addict 17yrs old commits suicide in Nandigama

A 17-year-old boy committed suicide in Nandigama town on Monday after his mother scolded him for being an alcoholic.

According to the police, the youth had recently completed his intermediate and was addicted to gambling and alcohol.

He demanded money from her mother. When she refused to give money and reprimanded him, an argument broke out between mother and son and he threatened to commit suicide. He was found dead on Monday morning.

Police said that they have registered a case of suspicious death. Police said that a man died on Sunday night after consuming pesticide while under the influence of alcohol. This incident took place in Tadikonda mandal of Guntur district.

T Venkateswara Rao (22) is a daily laborer living in Bandarupally, he has a wife and two children. He became addicted to alcohol after not coming to work for the past few months due to ill health. On Saturday, he drank a bottle of disinfectant while under the influence of alcohol, mistaking it for alcohol.

He was rushed to Guntur hospital and died while undergoing treatment. Tadikonda police registered a case and started investigation.
