Widows of Kargil martyrs felicitated

Kargil Vijay Divas and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav were celebrated at Ambedkar Bhawan, Ongole under the auspices of Prakasam District Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association on Sunday to honor the martyred soldiers and widows of the Kargil War.

Brigadier V. Venkata Reddy presided over the program, Additional SP K. Nageswara Rao, Lingala Jagan Reddy, CBR Prasad, District Military Welfare Officer Rajinikumari, SC Corporation ED Thoothika Srinivasa Vishwanath, United Defense Veteran Association Chairman Neppalli Nageswara Rao were present as chief guests.

Venkata Reddy, Srinivasa Vishwanath, Neppalli Nageswara Rao briefed the audience about the Indian Army, its units and their experiences during the war and the significance of Kargil Vijay Divas.

Passam Venkata Reddy, Alapati Venkata Rao, Mandava Venkateshwarlu, Captain Ankannaraju and others participated in this program.
