The animation studio at the IT Park in Rushikonda in the city gets a leg-up as it is extending support to making an international 3D feature film 'Noah's Ark'.

Symbiosys Technologies in Visakhapatnam is co-producing and co-animating the high-end animated film wherein the musical adventure feature is made with the support of two major firms in US and Brazil.
This is for the first time that an animation film with a budget of over Rs 45 crore is being produced in Andhra Pradesh. A 200 KW solar power plant has already been set up at a cost of Rs 1 crore as the film is produced using green energy.
"Negotiations with international filmmakers began in 2019. However, it was delayed due to the epidemic situation. The co-producer and co-animation process is all the more valuable as the use of renewable energy for filmmaking. Symbiosis Technologies CEO O Naresh Kumar said.
Naresh Kumar said that this is one of the highest quality animated films made in India. The film tells the story of a time when God flooded the world with non-stop rains and allowed all living things to be loaded into Noah's ark to survive the flood.
Portraying a slice of the ancient history that dates back to an era when the universe had to bear the brunt of incessant rains and God became the saviour of all creatures by letting them into Noah's Ark to survive, the plot depicts a new world that starts afresh.
He said about Rs. 12 lakh worth of state-of-the-art computers have been procured, including VFX, SFX, water simulation, reconstruction of the entire ocean and storm. He said it was a very ambitious project for the city and the state, and that two major companies in the US and Brazil had come forward to produce animated content from AP.
Created with a budget of 6 million USD, the animation budget alone is Rs 45 crore. Already 20 international distributors from different countries are preparing to launch Noah Arc in the international market.
At a time when Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is vying to make Visakhapatnam the home of the Telugu film industry, the state-of-the-art animation studio at Rushikonda IT Park is not only adding value to the ecosystem but also attracting global filmmakers.
