RK Roja assuming office as minister for tourism, culture and youth advancement at the Secretariat on Wednesday

The tourism department has already started to expedite several projects to complete them as per schedule. Steps will also be taken to promote sports in the State in a big way. Special efforts will be made to tap the rural sports talent. The government will also take initiative to promote the Telugu Language and focus on welfare artistes she said. The aim of the state government is to make Andhra Pradesh as one of the preferred and attractive destinations in ease of doing business, investments and tourist-centric state of India. Tourism is major economic growth and important source of the employment generation as well as foreign exchange earnings.
