Pawan Kalyan, Jana Sena Chief has accused the YSRC government of inciting violence in Amalapuram to divert public attention and growing opposition to the government from SCs. He doubted that the sudden notification to change the name of Konaseema to Konaseema district by Dr BR Ambedkar would be a political conspiracy hatched by the YSRCP.
He also said that renaming Konaseema district after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar would have been a smooth affair, had it been done at the time of publishing the gazette notification for all new districts after the reorganization exercise.
He recalled that the government came up with the district reorganization in the name of administrative convenience and also to name some of them after Sri Sathya Sai, Annamayya and Alluri Sita Rama Raju. He observed that it would have been better if the government also named a district after Ambedkar at the same time.
“The YSRCP government kept the issue pending with a purpose. Having completed the reorganization exercise districts without giving a window to the people who wanted to express their opinions, it is surprising that the government gave 30 days for registering objections to the proposal pertaining to renaming Konaseema district,” said the Jana Sena president.
He said naming the district after national leaders was a good omen and Janasena had demanded that Kurnool be named after the first Dalit chief minister, Damodaram Sanjeevayya. , I will not go against public opinion.
“shifting of Minister Pinipe Viswaroop’s family members to safety before the mob set fire to his rented house is proof that the attack was pre-planned. Similarly, the police were able to move MLA P. Satish Kumar and his family from their house before the attack as if they knew about it in advance. It is shameful that the police could not prevent the attacks,” Mr. Pawan Kalyan said.
“It has all indicated that the YSRC government is doing all to divert the attention of people from its failures,” the Jana Sena chief said and faulted the ruling party leaders for trying to attribute its failure in maintaining law and order to Jana Sena.
