Minister Rajini Outraged at the conditions of the hospitals

Vidala Rajini Minister of Health and Medical has directed the authorities to provide better medical services to the people. She held a review meeting with officials on Thursday at the APIIC building in Mangalagiri town.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was clear on medical and health issues and the government's aim was to provide better medical services to the people. She said the government was spending Rs 16,000 crore on the medical and health sector and was working to create infrastructure in government general hospitals in the state and urged the authorities to co-operate to provide better medical services to the people.
The minister said he had visited several government hospitals, some of which did not have proper toilets and sanitation in some hospitals was poor due to negligence of the authorities.
She directed the concerned authorities to address the problems prevailing in the government hospitals. Rajini assured that they would think about the welfare of the employees working on contract basis in government securities and facilitate ESI and PF. She said the ANMs had brought to their attention their problems with the biometric approach.
Expressing deep concern over the functioning of PHCs, Minister Rajini said that doctors in PHCs are still advising patients to buy medicines outside. Tests were also not performed on PHCs; she added, warning not to tolerate it.
She questioned why the problem of rats and mosquitoes continues in government securities. She instructed the doctors to perform 10 deliveries in each PHC. She was directed not to compromise on quality in the procurement of equipment through APMSIIDC. The review meeting was attended by Health and Family Welfare Commissioner J Nivas and officials.
