Continuing his attack on the central government for deceiving the people with false promises, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was exposing the horrors of Ravana's rule while reassuring Rama Rajya.
KTR alleged that the BJP was provoking religious troubles in the country by dividing the people in the name of religion. Commenting on the Agneepath scheme, he said, “The central government has damaged the aspirations of the youth to join the defense forces.
He said the Center had damaged the aspirations of the country's youth to join the defense forces by bringing in the Agneepath scheme. Rama Rao questioned whether the youth had really joined the Armed Forces for these jobs, quoting the Union Minister's statement that Agnipath had given the youth a bright future by training them as barbers, washer men, drivers and electricians.
The Minister recalled how the promise to eradicate black money within 50 days after the cancellation of the notes went as a "hoax". The same situation prevailed with the guarantee of depositing Rs 15 lakh in each bank account.
"Did anyone deposit the promised Rs 15 lakh in their bank account?" Rama Rao asked the House.
Highlighting the Centre's step motherly attitude towards Telangana, the MA&UD minister said the Modi government, which had provided Rs 1,000 crore to Gujarat, had not provided any assistance due to heavy rains in Hyderabad.
There is no point in bringing all the top BJP leaders, including the Prime Minister and Union Minister, to Hyderabad in the next few days as the Center does not support Telangana.
