Konda Surekha says Values in politics deteriorating

Former minister and senior Congress leader Konda Surekha has lamented that values in politics are declining. Arriving in Vijayawada on Monday for the promotion of the film 'Konda', she laid a wreath at the portrait of former Chief Minister Dr YS Raja Sekhara Reddy.
Surekha told media that he came to Vijayawada as part of their film promotion with the title 'Konda'. She said she started her visit to Andhra Pradesh after paying tributes to Dr Raja S ekhara Reddy. She said she was forever indebted to Dr Raja Sekhara Reddy for giving her a political career.
Surekha said he would contest on a Congress party ticket from Warangal East constituency in the coming elections. Speaking about the film, she said that it depicts their love, the life of the Naxalites and their political life.
She said TRS leaders would never have ventured if the Naxalites of yesteryear were alive today. She expressed concern that the TRS government was taking back the lands given to the poor by the Congress government.
