Jagan launches Jagananna Vidya Kanuka

Home Minister Taneti Vanitha said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who knows the importance of education, has lit the lamp of education in lakhs of families. She added that education and knowledge play a vital role in achieving any goal.

The minister started the distribution of Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kits to 1, 53,706 students of 1,007 schools across the district at Pangidi ZP High School in Kovvuru mandal on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Dr K Madhavi Latha said that education is the only asset we can give to the future generations.

She said that the government's focus on education and medical sectors is a good result. District Education Officer S. Abraham said that kits are being provided to 1, 53,706 students including 76,234 girls in the district.

Later, Minister Vanitha laid the foundation stone for the construction of additional classrooms in the school with Rs.276.60 lakhs.

Kovvuru RDO S. Mallibabu, MPP Kakarla Satyanarayana, Vice MPP Veeramalla Narayudu, MPTC member Konala Bhavani, MEO J. Kempu Ratnam, SE (RWS) D Bala Shankara Rao, PD (Dwama) and others participated in the program presided over by village sarpanch Gosala Nagarjuna.
