‘India backs early ceasefire in Gaza’: Jaishankar at meeting with Saudi counterpart

Underlining Saudi Arabia’s role as an “important force for stability” in West Asia, Jaishankar said in his opening remarks: “The situation in West Asia is a matter of deep concern, particularly the conflict in Gaza.”

Reiterating India’s longstanding stance on Israel-Hamas conflict, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday said India is advocating for an early ceasefire in Gaza and and the resolution of the Palestinian issue through a two-state solution.
