Dubai police arrested Rajesh and Atul Gupta, two fugitive businessmen of Indian descent who are South Africa's most wanted men in a corruption case that led to the ouster of South African President Jacob Zuma on Tuesday.
Interpol has issued red notices to Rajesh, 51, and Atul Gupta, 53, 53, two of Gupta's brothers of Indian descent, who fled South Africa with their families amid investigations into allegations of stealing billions of rands from the state. Companies owned during Zuma's presidency of the 80s.
Dubai police have arrested Rajesh and Atul in connection with money laundering and criminal charges in South Africa, Dubai police said in a statement.
