Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh State YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered the legislators and party members to take initiatives with commitment while creating a strong pitch for the continuation of the public relations program 'Gadapa Gadapaki Mana Prabhutvam.'
Addressing the second workshop attended by ministers, party in-charges and regional coordinators at his camp office here on Monday, the chief minister emphasized that the government should retain its power in the upcoming general elections on which lakhs of families depended on them. The living standards of the people are being improved with various welfare schemes and development works.
Citing the successes of YSRCP in the Kuppam local body elections, he suggested that the party, which aims to win 175 seats, should regain power with better results.
The Chief Minister said that he is doing all he can and directed the MLAs to work hard as the government is transparently implementing the welfare schemes without corruption and discrimination. Taking this as a platform, MLAs have the responsibility to take it forward and achieve good results.
Asking the MLAs to focus on the complaints received during the programme, the Chief Minister said that Rs 20 lakh is being allocated to each secretariat for priority works as per the appeals received from the people.
Apart from this, Rs 2 crore will be allocated to each MLA under the Constituency Development Fund from the Chief Minister's Development Fund (CMDF). The Chief Minister said that every MLA should visit seven village/ward secretariats next month as part of public relations programme.
The MLAs have been ordered to visit seven secretariats next month as part of the mass contact program which will be held for 16 to 21 days. The Chief Minister directed the officials to appoint observers to 175 constituencies to monitor the programme.
