According to WHO Chief Covid virus ‘leaked’ from Wuhan lab

Shortly after Covid said the lab leak theory needed "further research", the World Health Organization (WHO) chief told a senior European politician privately that the pandemic had originated from China's infamous Wuhan lab.

According to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanam Ghebreas, a laboratory disaster in Wuhan‌, the Daily Mail reported that infections had spread by the end of 2019.

However, publicly, the UN Health Organization states that "all hypotheses are on the table". Meanwhile, WHO experts, including the SAGO panel, have argued that China is not cooperating with the Covid source probe.

Ghebreyesus also called for "full cooperation from all countries, including China, where the first cases of SARS-CoV-2 were reported."
