10 minutes at 10 am every Sunday prog held across GHMC

Elected representatives, officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and residents participated in the 'Every Sunday morning at 10 am for 10 minutes' program held in different parts of the city today. As part of the initiative, stagnant water in houses and neighborhoods has been cleaned to avoid the possibility of them becoming breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy said that to prevent the spread of diseases, all people should participate in this program and children should be encouraged to participate for 10 minutes every Sunday morning at 10 am.

GHMC Chief Entomologist Ram Babu said that one Anti-Larval Operation (ALO) staff has been appointed for every three colonies under GHMC to carry out entomological activities. Also, posters printed on vector-borne diseases are being pasted on houses, he said.
